Andreessen Horowitz Brand Extension

A branding project developed during my internship at Andreessen Horowitz, focusing on the creation of an icon library and business card system for Future, a web3-focused initiative.

  • Support the brand extension of Future, a web3-focused initiative under Andreessen Horowitz, by creating scalable, visually cohesive assets that expand its design system while aligning with a16z’s overall brand standards.

  • During my internship with the a16z design team, I developed a custom icon library and business card system for Future. These assets were designed to communicate complex ideas with clarity while maintaining visual consistency within a broader, tech-forward brand identity.

  • The project began with research into technical web3 concepts—such as hash functions and cryptographic keys—to distill them into clear, recognizable iconography. Using geometric forms and layered transparency, I created a modular system that could scale across digital and print applications. I also designed a business card layout that reflected Future’s bold, modern aesthetic, refining it through team feedback to ensure alignment with both the sub-brand and a16z’s overarching design language.

As part of their technical brand extension, Future, developing a 150-piece icon library that translated abstract tech concepts into clear, consistent visual language. That experience taught me how to simplify complexity, think systemically, and build scalable solutions across platforms.

My work within the a16z design team emphasized creating branding elements for the annual firm picnic themed: Summer in the Riviera. Here, I created various logos that were applied to different elements such as flyers, swag, and banners.
